Micah Jarrett to Wake Forest

    Previously unsigned senior, Micah Jarrett, has committed to play baseball at Wake Forest next year. Jarrett, who patrols centerfield for East Rowan, is batting .484 with 6 home runs, 30 rbi's, and 10 steals.

    Mustang shortstop Justin Roland had previously committed to Charlotte and P/1B Trey Holmes is committed to Pitt CC.

    Obviously, I haven't been everywhere in the state but I would say Jarrett is possibly one of the most improved players in the state. Better hitter for average, more power, faster, and better fielder (at a different position) than last year. Don't know how much he'll play right away at Wake but if he keeps improving like he has between his junior and senior year, he will definitely be able to make a contribution.
