Memorial Day Classic 18u

    The Carolina Thunder Cats will host this tournament for 18u teams. ASA rules with up to 12 players allowed in the batting order and free substitution on defense. College umpires will be used and college coaches will be invited. Six game guarantee/ 5 pool games and then single elimination. The cost is $250 with teams furnishing their own balls. First 12 teams. Tournament will be held at Byrnes High School in Duncan, S.C.

    Might have trouble getting North Carolina teams for that age group. Playoffs run at least 2 weeks later in North Carolina and usually cause conflict with a lot of teams for that weekend.

    The Lady Blues do not play till HS playoffs and states are over in NC. I think most of the travel teams in NC stick to this procedure. We don't want HS coaches upset or players getting hurt. Good luck!
