Why do you think that?...UNC appears to be doing well and certainly has the talent to be Omaha bound.

IMO, schools that are part of the University of North Carolina System should strive to give their own kids opportunities first. We are the 10th most populated state in the U.S., and I don't think the undergraduate enrollment at most of the state universities has grown at the same rate of the general population. So, there should be plenty of boys to help fill rosters. I take great pleasure in learning about NC kids from this site. If they attend school in-state, it sure makes it easier to keep up with them!!!!

    I second what Southern said

The results at the recent underclassman WWBA tourney proves that NC has great baseball players. Yet I think some coaches still feel that the "grass is greener" out of state. Why do you think teams like Elon, Campbell, Pfeiffer and others can upset the larger schools? They are taking the talent left in state and doing just fine.

There is little doubt that our boys can compete with anyone in the country.

Once people get past the tidal wave of hype - and actually go out and watch the players - it becomes very apparent that NC baseball is alive and well IMO.
