Lake Norman Lightning 14u tryout

The Lake Norman Lightning 14-u team is holding a 2nd tryout for our highly competitive team. We are associated with NSA, ASA and Top Gun. We have been very successful this year and looking forward to continuing that success. We are in need of a pitcher, catcher, outfielder, short stop and utility player. The pitcher needs to have control of 4 pitches and be able to hit her spots, be very competitive and have a solid defensive glove. The catcher has to be able to move quickly, solid blocking skills, a strong and accurate arm, and strong communication skills to command the field. The Outfielder needs to have speed, be aggressive, and have a strong and accurate arm. The Short Stop needs to have range, be aggressive and have a strong and accurate arm. The utility player has all the attributes above. We are looking for strong bats. We can develop girls into stronger players through our training.

Our head coach is the assistant coach of North Mecklenburg High School softball team. He has 1 year of college coaching experience and over 24 years of high school and tournament ball experience and another 8 years of coaching high school baseball. He has been successful as an assistant and as a head coach at every level.

We are looking for girls that have a passion and desire to play at the next level. We will eventually move this team to showcase when the time is right.

We look to develop young women into leaders in the classroom, their schools, their communities and on the softball field.

During the off-season we have a weight room and will develop speed and strength.
