Lake Norman Lightning 12-u Pitcher/Catcher needed

January 9th, 2013. The Lake Norman Lightning 12-u out of Huntersville, NC is looking for young lady's who are serious about pitching on a competitive 12-u team. We are in search of 2 pitchers, 1 catcher and an outfielder. Players that are interested must have experience at these positions. All players must be competitive, have a work ethic and desire to improve. We are looking for pitchers who may have 3 good pitches and maybe working on a 4th but a fourth isn't required. We are not asking for you to have a cannon but to be consistent around the plate and have a good defensive glove. Catcher has to have decent feet, be quick, good blocking skills, strong arm and desire to improve even further (We can develop catchers if they are willing to work. We are looking for 2000 and select 2001's. We have a great core of girls and just picked up three very aggressive and above average girls. We play NSA and Top Gun. We will be joining ASA this year as well. Our head coach is a high school coach and has 21 years of coaching experience including tournament softball. The coaching staff consist of 6 coaches who have numerous years coaching tournament softball in NSA and ASA. Our staff will hold tryouts for anyone interested over the next couple of weeks just contact the number or e-mail below to set up a time. Pitchers that are selected to be a part of the Lake Norman Lightning will get plenty of mound time since we are looking for two to come in and be our main pitchers. Same is true for a catcher and outfielder for playing time. Tryouts are held on the campus of North Mecklenburg.
