June 22 Battle of the Border Talent Showcase Event

    The Battle of the Border Softball Talent Showcase set for June 22nd is taking shape. This showcase is designed to provide great exposure for each attendee with college coaches. We are expecting a large turnout from the coaches due to the quality of players we are accepting and the strategically chosen date following the State Games.

    The Showcase is broken into two groups.

    1. Pitchers and Catchers in the AM
    2. Position Players in the PM

    There is no additional charge for a player to participate in both sessions if they are qualified at both and in search of college opportunities with dual skills.

    Players will participate in various drills and situations requested by college softball coaches. Players will be given numerous opportunities to show their unique talents and to also learn from the coaches. Coaches will offer suggestions on what the players need to improve on to increase their scholarship opportunities. Some of the top high school and travel coaches in the area will also be on hand to assist in the event.

    Skills to be evaluated include, throwing, pitching, command of pitches, speed, agility, fielding, arm strength, reaction time, overall softball ability and more.

    We are expecting one of the largest turnouts of college coaches ever in the area. Over 200 colleges have been invited to attend the event. The initial reception we have received has been very positive. We are on pace to have over 30 colleges represented at the event.

    We are also pleased to welcome The National Scouting Report to the event. The National Scouting Report is a marketing partner with The South Charlotte Sports Report and specializes in creating scholarship opportunities for high school students. Softball is one of the top requested sports.

    Martin will share information with all players and parents on preparing for the college scholarship process and how to make your daughter marketable to each level of college sports.


    The Showcase event is only $95 per player and enrollment can be completed at www.battleofthebordershowcase.com After May 22nd , the price will increase to $120 per player. All Credit Cards are accepted and checks may also be mailed in. The showcase is open to players from any area of the country and not just NC and SC.
