just to reiterate my point Hulkster, The Shelby's, Crest's, and Richmond counties as well as the Burlinton Cummings and the reidsville's of the NC HS football world involve their youth and Middle school programs with their High School programs as training blocks and this is done with tremendous community effort. I have spoken to some people from the shelby area whom knows this is a fact... These kids still have to be disciplined and kept in line with the fundamentals of the game but these kids are well seasoned before they even put on a varsity uniform.... This system is proven and it works and a lot of your successful programs follow this approach

agreed and may i add, its more than just football too.............life! Listen, learn and apply it!

The female athletes excel here in volleyball, softball, tennis, soccer and golf in our area:just less profitable but equally as exciting and rewarding to their respective Programs and discipline is learned at a young age here, girls or boys!

Good luck football, volleyball and tennis playoff qualifiers!

Stick together players, parents, communities and supporters......its worth it!

I'm not saying that the youth programs shouldn't model the high school programs. I'm saying that most communities do not have the resources and manpower to do so. In a perfect world it would be great if high schools were able to get the necessary and willing people to go out and teach the kids the high schools system. The problem is is that most communities can't. Most communities have over zealous parents who know extremely little about the game and teach the kids poor habits and place far too much emphasis on winning instead of learning and having fun. This just my experience. I saw this in Florida for 22 years in the education and coaching field. I wish it would change.

Yes Hulkster you are right in that its hard but they are communities and towns that do it! , thats what I am saying...
Even in basketball its evident right here at WC where Coach Anerson gets involved with the youth! The interest at WC is so high in hoops that these kids know the system well from summer camps and summer leagues as well as Andersons push for AAU participation... By the way BB season is just around the corner and words done out that this could be his best team at WC... As far as BB goes I am excited but as far as FB?, I'm getting to where I could care less until a new coach and new system is implemented!Styron Please Leave!
