    Onr of my childhood heroes--I remember Murcer playing shortstop for the Greensboro Yankees in the Carolina League. I saw him play against the old Rocky Mount Leafs in Municipal Stadium on amny occasions.

    I loved.......

    the way this guy played the game and he COULD play it well! So sad as he was one of my favs as I was g4rowing up as well!!11

    I always thought the Louisville Slugger wood bat signed by Bobby Murcer was the best bat!!!

    my first real bat was a bobby murcer 34.he was one of my favorites.
