    tryouts, what drills do you run during your tryouts and what are you looking for in a perspective player?

    as long as your child is playing in a "fun game" environment, they'll be a sponge when it comes to learning.

    Take the fun out, takes the kid out.

    A#2 is work with your kids at home.

    Drills to expect...

    ....well you can count on being timed running the bases, so work on that at home. You probably will see fielding drills like simple ground balls to say SS and throw to 1st, so work on that at home. Batting drills will be a little more difficult to define because quite frankly, live pitching will be tough to simulate. TDrills, soft toss.
    As for pitchers, obviously speed on a fastball.
    As for catchers, drop and block, and maybe pop up time.

    KEY: put your kid on the field, and leave them alone, no coaching from the
    stands! I know its tough to do but beleive me, ITS A MUST.

    Your kid will be fine!!!!
