Firecrackers NC Recent College Commitments

Firecrackers NC are proud to announce recent college commitments!

Riley Didier 2016 OF/Utility- Syracuse University- Riley made her verbal commitment to Coach Bosch and Syracuse a couple weeks ago just after her visit. Syracuse is a perfect fit for Riley both academically and athletically. She is a a top student at Forsyth Country Day School and it would be hard to find anyone who has worked harder overcome more obstacles and injuries on the way to achieving her goal of playing softball in college. Congrats Riley!

Marissa Lineberry 2016 C/1b/3b- Limestone College- Marissa had several schools to choose from but made a great choice in committing to Coach Yates and Limestone. Marissa has worked hard on her game over the past 2 years and has really and she is a strong bat in the line up at Forbush High School. She will add another strong bat to the Limestone line up and as always will excel in the classroom. Way to go Marissa!

Brittany Duncan 2016 P- Mars Hill University- Brittany made her commitment to Coach Gordy and Mars Hill over a month ago, but I wanted to give her another shout out. Brittany is one of those pitchers that gets outs. Her spin and control is amazing and improved so much while working under Taryne Mowatt. In her junior season at NW Cabarrus, Brittany had 191 strikeouts and a .80 ERA while earning the South Piedmont pitcher of the year honors. Brittany is another Firecracker player who also excels in the classroom and she will make an immediate impact at Mars Hill. Congrats Brittany!

The Firecrackers NC is extremely proud of these players as well as our other 10 players who have made their college commitments over the past year. We look forward to more announcements soon as we have several more considering offers and will be receiving offers this fall.

The Firecrackers is an organization that wants our players to find the college the is the RIGHT FIT, both academically and athletically for them. We don't get caught up in the number behind the "D", only opening the door to a degree to a school that fits.
