This might make a good thread to see what members will be there. I know I'll be joining you Pops and I'd love to meet anyone else up there

I talked to rc about coming, but he has to work that day .....

... we really need to work on his priorities.

Yeah...he's working in the duck fields. Definately has his priorities wired wrong

But this would be a great occasion to come watch some studs and get to meet some TBR fellas. You don't have to have a son participating to have fun....we all walk around like we are scouts or something:D

Seriously..last year was a blast and gave me a chance to watch first hand some of the players that have been mentioned on the board that I have not seen pitch..or catch

    Impact pitchers/catchers Showcase

I wished Andy could have picked another date for his pitchers/cathcers. NC State is having there pitchers camp that same weekend and like myself and I know a few pitchers who have already paid and made plans to go to NC State. But maybe we will hit one of Impacts tryouts later in the season. I wish we could be there I would like to meet some of you face to face..........but I'm sure we will cross paths sometime soon!!
POPS I'm with you...........I will be in the other corner lurking in the shadows.

We had a great weekend at Elon!!

WOW!!!!! What a camp this was!! POPS you were so right about the coaching staff at Elon!!! Great group of people and so approachable and full of knowledge. My son actually told me after we left yesterday "one of the best camps I have been to". And he actually picked up some great tips!
Not only were the Elon staff great but I have to say I have never been around a group of instructors with such credentials that were so friendly and WANTING to help the young men get better! And they were very approachable also!!
The highlight for my son was that he got interest from several of the schools there. Now I am a very humble person and I do not bragg at all but it was nice to see this for my son and for him to realize hard work pays off!!!! :xyzthumbs
Good Lord willing we will return again next year!!!!! Great camp!
    :applause:

PRD .... That's good to hear that the camp went so well, and it sounds like you have a special player there. Good luck this season.

Sorry, I'm a couple of days late posting on this but I have been very busy,

My son attended this camp, and has been stated previously, it was a very good camp and well run by a really fantastic group of coaches. My son really enjoyed the camp. He said all the instructors were enthusiastic, but particularly Billy Best of the Atlanta Braves Org. Coach Kennedy appears to be a great guy. They have the running of the camp down to a science and the boys are doing something nearly every minute. They also cover about all you could ask for in a hitting camp. It did get a little cold on Sunday.

On a side note, Elon has a very nice athletic complex. My son also thought the campus was very charming and had a great atmosphere. He's in the 10th grade and had always talked about going away to the big State U, but after being there two days and around their staff, he said he could really see himself attending school there.

I know NCBBallFan is a proud papa!
