East Meck vs. Providence

    this has got to be the game of the week so far, what a great game, east won 2-1 in 8 innings. Buchanan went all 8 and pitched a gem. Cutler also did a nice job as well. The play of the game: prov. has a runner on 2nd with 1 out. Buchanan fakes the pickoff to 2nd, both middle infielders dive and make the "attempt" to stop the ball, the right and center field converge towards the gap as if the ball was thrown in the gap. the runner on second runs to third thinking the ball is by everyone and buchanan easily tags out the runner. East has been trying that play for 5 years and it finally worked. Taylor Bryant hit a homerun for east to tie the game up at 1 around the 4th inning or so. Great game by both teams, good defense, good pitching, timely hitting.
