Dumbing-down of HS football

    Again we endure the dumbing-down of NC HS football with the sub-dividing of the playoffs. Just look at all the 4-7, 3-8, 2-9 teams. :thud: Ridiculous. IMHO.

    I have learned to accept the fact that we will have this mess from now on. My problem now becomes if it's good for one sport, and all about kids getting chances to play, why not all sports?

    its because football has been recognized as a a huge cash cow. the nchsaa wouldnt make enough money off the other sports to even consider bothering with the red tape. like you said smash, its here to stay for football.
