Dani Beres

Dani is a junior at Belmont Abbey from Greenville NC area and is having one heck of a spring as the #3 hitter and third/second baseman. She is hitting in the high 300's, has almost 30 rbi, four homeruns, and has played well in the field. This kid is a prime example of what hard work in off season can do and you can see her confidence growing each day. I believe she is responsible for about 1/3 of the Abbey's runs.

A couple seniors are having great years as well as they finish up their career.

Jessica Inman, an all-conference and all-region player three years running is hitting over .400, has an unbelieveable stolen base percentage, and does a great job behind the plate. Jessica has been one of the best D-11 catcher in NC and the SE for all four years.

Abby Threatt has played all the outfield positions during her career and because Jessica is on base so much, Abby bunts many times a game, giving herself up to move the runner. Abby is hitting over .300 with a homerun and has held the outfield in place with the injury to our star centerfielder and an injury to a right fielder. Abby has become astude at the push bunt and has driven defenses crazy using that tool even with two strikes. Abby was all-conference as a freshman.

The team has struggled with three coaches in 2 years but these girls have remained focused in their goal to win.
