    interesting

Average D1 College Softball Expenses for 2009-2013

ACC schools avg about $1 million n expenses
SEC schools avg just over $1.5 million n expenses
PAC 12 Schools avg just over $1.4 million n expenses
BIG 12 schools avg just under $1.4 million n expenses

The other big conferences are about the same as above.
I guess we can tell which conf will "normally" win NCAA title

Syracuse, Notre Dame, Ga Tech and FSU spend the most in the ACC
UNC, BC, NC State are at or near bottom.

This is for 2009 -13 total expenses and game day money spent.

Note the huge disparity between . . .

the P5 and other schools. Interestingly, my daughter's old school JMU has a softball budget approaching $1 million. That's higher than all NC schools except State and Carolina. They also won 40 games last season and are picked in the top 30 nationally. You do get what you pay for.
