Cuts are Coming Your Way - Rant

Many people predict a big upswing in private school enrollment in the next several years- for these and other reasons.

 

Heard about Texas school system that has a school uniform policy. Instead of sending the student home. If the student is not wearing the correct uniform. They have to wear a blue jumpsuit. In some cases I would say make them orange and get them use to it. Oh forgot they are in Texas make that black and white stripes.

 

Think you may see about 1% maybe a 2% climb, if that. Not a lot of cash out there. I see the states screwing things up with sports programs even more.. Friday night football will be two kids in a gym fighting it out with Madden Football on a big screen. And do not worry about which side to sit on, they all will be in white shirts and navy pants (or skirts for the girls).

I somewhat understand the school uniform issue. They are trying to fix a problem with school violence and student apathy. What kills me though this problem should be corrected at HOME!!! I don't care how well you dress a piece of crap it still stinks. As NC's budget gets tighter I think you will see cuts in HS Sports, that is where we as parents have to be more invovled with our Booster club and PTA's care about the school you child goes attends.
