CISAA: Charlotte Christian might squeeze it out this year.
    SPC: Weddington or Piedmont

How many playoff spots does the SPC get this year? I have heard two or three.
Yes Piedmont is in fourth but a win against Sun Valley Tuesday would move them into a tie for 3rd with SV and would have the tie breaker because they would have beaten them twice.

i heard they only get 2 spots, but once again that is just what i heard. who are the starting pitchers for that game and where/what time is that game. a peidmont win would also help JM Robinson a lot. sun valley has to turn around and play Robinson friday, so it will be interesting to see which game blaylock throws.

The game is at Piedmont @ 7:00. I would think Morgan Tyson will pitch for Piedmont. He got the win against Sun Valley the last time and he had a good game against Robinson Wednesday.

Did SV play Weddington last week or did it get rained out?

In the SW4A the first and second conference finishes are probably already set unless South Meck and Providence completely fall apart in the 2nd round of conference play so, it looks like the race for third will be the biggest battle for the NC 4A state playoffs in the SW4A?!?

Ragsdale is sitting at 7-1 with a bunch of home conference games coming up.

They should take the Tri-County 3A. And they are one hot team with twelve wins in a row including wins over E Randolph, Greenville Rose and NE Guilford

You're right SabreFan, and the first of three key games to decide that third spot will be at Myers Park Tueday night as the Mustangs host East Meck. The other two key games, East vs. Butler and Butler at Myers Park (5/6) will be the last week of the regular season I think. Not sure about the Butler - East date. Both key games for Myers Park are at home, and now that Gant Bowman and Jason Kennell appear to be fully recovered and throwing well, the Mustangs should give it a good run. (Although MP lost both Sink tourney games, 7-5 to Scotland County and 7-6 to North Meck, Kennell and Bowman each got a start and each left the game with a lead after 4 strong innings.)

Of course things will get complicated if Olympic or Waddell upsets one of the three -- a very real possibility, or if any of the three can pull off an upset of South or Providence. Should be three fun weeks.
