    I saw that in the paper. Congratulations to Alex; it was well earned. I tried like heck to get him into another unnamed school. Did Alex set the NC HS record in BA?

    Alex broke the state record for single season ( 667) and high school career ( 569).

    Kenny Swab, East Forsyth High School, Young Harris Junior College.
    Young Harris is getting a great person and baseball player. Swab had an amazing year, one for the record books at East Forsyth. I've seen this kid grow up from the time he was 9 years old to now going to Young Harris. I played with him when he was 9 and when he was a freshman in high school. Also had the opportunity to coach him when he was 16 years old. This young man is a great leader. Young Harris got a great person. I know his parents Edye and Bob are very proud of him. CONGRATS KENNY and good luck at Young Harris!!

    MELTON SIGNS

    Michael Melton, a SR from East Rutherford, will sign with Presbyterian College (SC). Michael hit .379 and was 21-4 with 19 walks (Note more wins than walks) in his 4-year varsity career. He becomes the 4th East Rutherford senior to sign with a D-1 school, with the Blue Hose move to D-1 next year.
    Congrats to Phil, Judy and Mike and best wishes.

    Maybe better useage of words was that he got his release and decided to go ECU. Just a better situation for both parties
