Charlotte Cobras 18U - Brittany Jones

    Brittany Jones (CF for The Charlotte Cobras & Nations Ford HS) verbally committed to Head Coach Britne' Stubbs of Brevard College last night. Jonesey has had more schools than I can count in Division I & II pursuing her on the recruiting trail over this last year. Ultimately she narrowed her final decision down to Charleston Southern Univ. & Brevard College. After a lot of discussion and weighing out the pros & cons for each school, Brittany decided that Brevard was where she wanted to spend her next four years.

    Britne' Stubbs (HC of Brevard) is making a huge push in adding some key players (Jones included) to the once NAIA, now turned Division II, school competing in The SAC. Look for Brevard to be very competitive these coming years.

    Brittany Jones has been a difference maker for The Charlotte Cobras, especially in her time roaming the OF as one of the areas premier outfielders. Brittany has one of the best arms I have seen on a center fielder - and that's taking high school, travel & both Division I & II softball into consideration.

    The Charlotte Cobras 18U ASA-A Softball Program is very proud of Brittany and her accomplishments. We wish her continued success in her senior year! Congratulations Randy & Julie Jones and the entire Jones Family!

    CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up your great work Brittany, I'm sure you'll fit right into the school and fastpitch program at Brevard. Marlin:trophy::trophy:

    Congrats to Brittany!

    Great job Britt! Your hard work has paid off nicely. I hope you enjoy a fantastic 4 years at Brevard. I enjoyed having the opportunity to coach you for a couple of years when you played on the Curve. As Coach Turso stated, your arm is unbelievably strong. I always enjoyed watching opposing coaches jaws drop, when they thought they had an easy run on a base hit, only to see their girls get thrown out at the plate by your cannon arm. Your mom and dad gave you such great support in the pursuit of your dream. I appreciate your dad's support in helping me as an assistant coach. I don't know how we would have gotten all that equipment from the parking lots to the fields without that little wagon that he attached to the hitch on his truck, and toted to every single tournament. LOL. You always hustled and gave 100%, no matter what. You are a true "gamer".

    Now you can calm down:trampoline:------- Brit great job watched you since you were in 2U or diaper league, always been a pleasure to watch !! I still remember one of many catches down in Myrtle Beach ( ESPN CATCH ) where you dove and snow coned the ball in the O/F during a tournament with us..........you are an awesome ball player......... GOOD LUCK @ THE NEXT LEVEL !!!
