    Fred T Foard 13 Bunker Hill 4

Foard scored 8 runs in the bottom of the 6th to break open a close game with the young Bears. Andrew Wyant picked up the win with Chad Rothlin pitching two scoreless innings in relief.

Next up for the Tigers is Mooresville at 5:00pm on Tuesday. Mooresville easily handled Maiden in the first game of the afternoon.

Wish I could have seen what must have been a great pitching matchup between Harrington and Patrick Johnson of St Stephens. Somebody had to lose, this time it was Johnson. Dustin Harrington is a great athlete. I have watched him for 4 great seasons at Alexander Central. He spent two years as the Cougar's Quarterback and switched to Safety and Flanker this past fall. All he did was end up with 9 interceptions on defense and 8 Touchdowns at wide-out. East Carolina is getting a great player and a great kid.

Foard wins 9-3 over Mooresville. Sam Allen and Johnny McElhany each knocked in a run, and McElhany scored on a past ball to account for the third run. King pitched a great game, and good luck to Foard who appears in good shape to win the tournament this year. The championship and third place games will take place tomorrow, due to the weather.
