A big thanks to all the teams that participated the Carolina Cardinals Fall Classic this past weekend at Eagle Park at Winthrop University. The Tournament was a huge success due to the teams participating and the sportsmanship of the teams, coaches, parents and fans.

Rain late Saturday night caused us to lose a field all day Sunday which caused the tournament to go a longer than planned. However Winthrop Coach Mark Cooke and staff worked hard Saturday morning to get the fields playable and maintained them throughout the the day. Thanks again Coach Cooke!

Another Special thanks goes to Jim Bennett and Upper Deck Sports for providing prize for the winning team.

Congratulations to Lady Blues-Kip 18U team for winning the tournament! The Blues went undefeated in the tournament until The Cardinals 16U Chandler fought back through the the lower bracket and forced an "if" which the Blues won 3-2.

Again, thanks to all those who participated and attended. We would certainly welcome any feedback regarding the tournament format or anything we can do to improve next years tournament.

    Tournament Director

    Good

Only saw a few games Sunday morning but given the weather issues, a good job keeping the games going, Ben.
Just a clarification, Kip's team is made up of two juniors and the rest are freshman and sophomores as this same team played 16U all summer. We just changed them to 18U this fall to hit the showcase circuit.

Did not realize those girls were basically a 16U team. They certainly play at a level beyond their age. It was fun watching them on the field!
