Freedom Head Baseball Coach Brandon Scott will be become the first head baseball coach of the Patton High School Panthers.
Scott, 26, who took over the Patriot's program at midseason when Jeff Williams unexpectedly resigned, led the team to an 8-13 year and a fifth place finish in the NW4A. In his first stint as a head Coach, Scott guided the Patriots to huge conference road wins against Alexander Central and Watauga as well as non conference victories against top programs Enka and Crest. His Patriot squad also swept the season series with rival East Burke.
Congratulations to Coach Scott and best of luck with you new post

I believe most of the Freedom team goes to Patton with him. A young group with skills.

    Congrats

Congratulations to Coach Scott; he's a good dude and will be successful. A few years back when he was a student at ASU, he helped out at Watauga. During the very unfortunate fight with Alexander in the conference tournament, he waded through about 7 or 8 Cougars, one of whom was bashing the Watauga catcher over the head with his own facemask, and pulled Jon Greene from the fray. The guy's got guts; he might not have made it out alive in that mess! He was outgunned again at Freedom, but turned that team around. With the talent coming up at Patton, he won't be outgunned for long. I wish him the best of luck.
