    I was privileged last night to be at CVCC to watch the championship game for the Catawba Valley Christmas Tourney and it was worth the price of admission. All the games through the day were outstanding, but the boys game sure topped it off. Hickory hit about 16 3's. #12 hit 10 on his own including the buzzer beater to win 67 64. The way it got there couldn't have been more exciting in a movie. AC needed stops at the end to get back even and they did with key traps, steals, & blocks. Down by 2, Coach Wills called TO and drew up a magnificent back door cut that tied it. Hickory called TO and Coach Johnson drew up the defining play of the night. Great game guys. This was the first of at least 3 times they will meet and I hope the next 2 are even half this good!
