    University of Florida linebacker and Crest High graduate Brandon Spikes is currently tied for the Southeastern Conference lead in total tackles through 10 games.

    Spikes has a team-best 101 total tackles (63 solo, 38 assists) and shares the top spot with Kentucky’s Wesley Woodyard. Spikes, a 6-foot-3, 243-pound sophomore, also has five pass break-ups, two fumble recoveries, one and a half sacks and one forced fumble for the 14th ranked Gators.

    Florida (7-3) still has an outside shot at the SEC East title after finishing up its league slate at 5-3. The Gators close the regular season with non-conference games against Florida Atlantic and Florida State.
