    Best Coaches

I would have to argue that whoever is the best coach usually depends on who has the most talent on their team. A better question might be which school has the most talent annually go through their system. Pat Riley didn't exactly dominate the NBA after the Lakers, but he sure looked like a genius again after he got Shaq and Wade in Miami. Players make coaches look good.

My only objection to that comment would be former East Burke coach Rob Bliss, he took some teams that were not the most talented in the world and produced conference winners.

    Why I picked them

Here are the reasons i picked my coaches

Church- hard to argue with results
    Rogers- Young, intense, and genetics
Sanders- Seems to know how to when in Boone
Windmiller- Not the best but not the worst
Hancock- Need to see what he can do
ACRHS- Not as bad as he could have been
    ACHS- 0-12 in conference.

I really don't know much about the other coaches but Windmiller is an outstanding coach. Fair but firm with all the players. Hopefully he will hang around SC for a long time. We went through some tough years with coaches but they finally got it right. As for wins and losses we did pretty good last year but the next couple will be rough and you won't be able to judge the type of coach he is by that. Need a little more talent the next few years but it is hard when most of our athletes choose baseball and the ones that are left play football and concentrate on basketball the least

    One-Sport

Concentrating on one sport is such a joke and yet so many people do it. I can't stand to read in the paper or where ever about some talented kid who has decided that they are going to focus on one sport. It is so stupid and selfish. Unless you are 7-feet-tall, or have siezures you really shouldn't use the excuse of concentrating on one sport because you miss out on the most important aspect of becoming better. Pressure situations in a competitive environment. Practice never really holds up to the real thing. I would rather my kid play three sports anyday. Fall baseball and summer basketball are overkill.

Amen, unless you're pro material "focussing on one sport" to me is more of an easy way to say "I don't want to play ____ball" and not get chewed out by coaches, players, parents etc.
