I believe they have a coach in mind and it is his to turn down, but I haven't received permission to post his name.

Was it A legal transfer? Is his residency okay? Does he live in the district, or is he just renting a facade?

Ditto here. Coach Smith and Coach Anderson built a tremendous foundation at the Abbey. The wrong hire would blow it all up in 15 minutes.

Many don't realize that Conference Carolina schools (by mutual agreement) only award 3.5 scholarships. The NCAA permits 9. Mull that one over. How good do you have to be (as coaches) to finish 3rd at the D2 World Series when you're spotting 200+ colleges around the country triple the scholarships?

We're going to find out whether Abbey's administration appreciates the amazing accomplishments of the past few seasons...and whether they want that to continue. Their coaching choice should be a Geico moment: so easy a Caveman could make it.

Obviously, there was a major reason that Coach Smith left. You don't build a program like he did and just walk away laterally to another job. The question I have is why would someone else want to inherit those same concerns?

I could understand a coach looking for an opportunity to accept this position, but I could also understand why he would turn it down. Because of the great job in recruiting that Smith and Anderson have done, short term I think BA would be okay, but long term, without administration support, it looks cloudy.

In my opinion, the best chance for BA to continue to play at a high level of baseball and to continue to recruit very talented players, they need to do everything they can to encourage this coach to accept the HC position....and maybe, just maybe, he will hire me to become a volunteer recruiter and join Q on his staff.

From what I understand his father has a second house near Spartanburg, but I would recommend that one check his mailbox for "real" mail and the garbage cans for "real" garbage. But as long as it's legal...it's a family decision and should be nobody's business.....oh, and I suggest to look through the windows to see if the kitchen is clean and the beds are made. That's a surefire way to know if he is legal. If the house is clean....I'd turn him in.
