    HRs by Huntersville - Prowse (3-run) and Perez (GW in bottom of 8th)

    Charlotte had its chances. They had the bases loaded with one out in the top of the 9th put could not plate the tying run. Charlotte travels to SP Belmont Tuesday for game 2 of a 4 game road trip.

    Rematch of last week's Burke extra inning 3-2 victory over Asheville is 7 p.m. Wednesday at McCormick Field, home of the Asheville Tourists.

    Eli Miller (UNC-Asheville) went all 10 innings in the win against Ryan Jones (AC Reynolds - Lenior-Rhyne) and Newt Money (Enka), who faced the best of what Patton, McDowell and East Burke had to offer like Aaron Attaway (Western Carolina), Brent Rowe (Montreat), Justin O'Dear (Catawba Valley Community College), Tyler Hopkins (Montreat), Dykota Speiss (Western Carolina), Ethan Hull, Donnie Hughes and Tre Young. This was the Asheville lineup, which is also pretty loaded:

    1. RF Kevin Price (TC Roberson)
    2. 2B Sawyer McLamb (Erwin)
    3. SS Phillip Treadway (AC Reynolds - Western Carolina)
    4. LF Matt Fernandez (TC Roberson - Haverford)
