    Mint Hill vs Charlotte 6/21

    Mint Hill 6
    Charlotte 5

This was the classic "scratch and claw" comeback after Mint Hill gives up 5 in the 2nd. MH ties it up and goes ahead in the the top of the 9th.

Pitchers for MH were Ryan Mas, Ryan Glass and David Anderson.

Charlotte is a very scrappy team with some very good pitching.

Can't wait till the next match up!!

    Mint Hill at Denver 6/22.

Heard tonight at Moor-SR game that Huntersville may come to Mooresville Sun for a non-league game. Cherryville had to cancel Tues and I think Mooresville was looking for another game. Hope it works out, would like to see Huntersville play. Mooresville sits at 13-2 in Area III and 15-3 overall.

    wow

Seems like everytime I read the box scores this Prowse kid from Huntersville has 2 or 3 RBI homeruns. How many does he have now and how many RBIs? I also heard he was pitching great in a closer role. He can really bring the heat or change it up. I don't know why the Hopewell Titans mainly used him in a DH role. Maybe that explains why the Titans didn't live to their expectations in their post season. Keep up the hard work kid, it really pays off!

Yes Prowse is doing very well. He has 5 legion HRs not real sure about the RBIs i would have to check on that but its a ton. His last homerun was at North Meck on Monday and was hit an estimated 410 ft to center field. He has also been pitching well in relief as his fastball has been pretty consistant around 92-93 mph. As far as the Hopewell Titans go they just did'nt hit against Myers park in the 2-0 loss. You are right though 100 percent about the DH role some of the High school coaches are pretty clueless but in his case i think there was something personal between him and the coach.
