They played Sat. night in Cheraw, SC.
Berry started did very well after 1st inn. Allowing only 4 runs. 14-4 after 4.
Brown, Hamby, and Severt all threw.
Six HR's by 29er's Severt lead off with one, Shehan had 2, Craig had 2, Coffey had 1.

Still trying out some players here and there..
    Won 15-10

They play Whiteville tonight, and Wilmington tomorrow night.

Caldwell defeated Whiteville Sunday on the road 5 - 3. I don't have any specifics but we called the Whiteville Newspaper to get the score. Caldwell goes to 2 - 0 on the season.

    Caldwell 5 Whiteville 3

The score was tied 3-3 going into the 9th inning. Whiteville 3rd relief pitcher, J. King came into pitch. He walked the first batter, next batter had a single to left field, they intentionally walked a batter to load the bases and #17 (can't remember his name), came through and hit a two RBI game winning single. Josh Severt pitched the 8th and 9th for Caldwell and did a very good job shutdown Whiteville. But also, Jimmy Messer pitched the 6th and 7th and made a few Whiteville batters buckle their knees with that unbelievably 12-6 curl ball. He hit the inside corner on demand.

    Pitching:
    Caldwell 29
Starter: Cody Poacher 5 innings, 3 runs
    Jimmy Messer 2 innings, 1 hit, 1 hb, 1 walk, 6 k's (I think)
    WP: Josh Severt 2 innings

    Whiteville Post 137
    Robbie Penny, 3 innings, 5 walks, 1 hit, 1 run, 6 K's
    J. Benson, 2 innings, 2 runs
    #24 , 3 innings
    LP: J. King, 1 inning, 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 runs
