I don't know anything about Global Warming, but I do believe the month of February might be our best baseball weather in years!!!!!!!!

It's around the corner and I can hear the popping of the gloves and the pinging of the bats.....throw in some concession hot dogs and I'm ready for practice, coach! Put me in !!!!!!:invasion:

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season but with mixed emotions. I love baseball, especially at the HS level. This is my youngest sons senior year so already feeling a little melancholy.

    Ready for some baseball

As always Im really excited about the upcoming season. As mentioned above it goes by way too fast. My youngest will be a junior this season. It seems like yesterday he was the bat boy riding the bus and getting in a whole lot of trouble on the back of the bus. I really couldn't wait for him to get in HS now I find myself wishing he was still the bat boy. It goes by way to fast. This years Sr class has a couple of boys I have coached since they were 7 years old. It is going to be tough to see them go.

It won't be tough for me....:jumprope: Just kidding, Coach.. They are excellent kids (err, young men). I guarantee that youd better bring your long underwear and overcoats when you come to Roxboro (the coldest place east of the Mtns in NC), if you're good to us, we might even loan you a heater for the dugout!! Seriously though, this warm weather usually means cold, cold weather in February-April. Then again I remember a few years back it was warm like this (El Nino) and we had one of the wettest seasons I can remember. Just remember I said it first andI hope I am wrong, but that could be the case here.

Coach, we both realize regardless of the outcome we'll have fun on opening day!!

You are probably right, coach. But it sure was nice yesterday and I hope that we have many days like it in Feb and March. According to TBR's resident prognosticator, Dr. Methusda, he is predicting the best HS baseball weather ever
