    Kannapolis-8 over Lexington-2

    Blake Ketner improves his pitching record to 4-0 in pitching 8.2 innings tonight for Kannapolis against a very good Lexington team. Garrett Sherrill became the 12th different Kannapolis player to hit a homerun this summer with a solo shot and Jake Faggart hit "2" 3-run bombs to give him 5 for the season. Kannapolis as a team now has hit 33 homeruns thru 18 ballgames.

    Kannapolis now 11-3 still tied with Rowan County for 2nd place (behind Stanly County) with a big home game tomorrow (Saturday) with Mocksville coming to town.

    Gaston Braves beat Union Co. 7-0 last night in Area IV East action.

    Gaston improves to 10-1 in the divison and 12-1 overall.

    Union Co. moves to 4-5 in the Area IV East divison.

    Leading Hitters: GB Todd Palmer 3-4, HR, Aaron Horne 2-4, Brody Heffner 2-4 3 RBI.
