Ok guys, we've got a thread for American Legion final scores, now we've got a thread for Area 4 standings, we even have a thread with Area 3 North/South and Area 4 East/West playoff scenarios.

Lets start a thread with PREDICTIONS. Lets hear'em right here.

In the next day or so the playoff pairings will be coming out statewide. Lets hear who you think will advance beyond the first round,,,,,,,,,,,,, and (if you dare) lets hear some predictions for the teams that will win their areas and advance all the way to the state tournament.

Keep in mind that Area 4 represents from Mecklenburg County to the west. Area 3 is the North & South Piedmont area of NC. Sure would be nice to get some discussion from some of you eastern guys. Anyone have any information on Areas 1 & 2 ???

I'll start by saying that I think Caldwell County & Pineville are clear cut favorites to come out of Area 4.
Area 3 gets a little more messy. I personally believe there's numerous teams in Area 3 with a chance. You have to say the road goes through Kannapolis, who's the 2-time defending area champs and yet still a threat. But Rowan County's gonna be awful tough because of pitching depth, Mocksville and Stanly County both have legitimate contenders with chances of putting together a run, and Mooresville/Lexington both have quality pitching and have proven they can beat anyone. In the North, Randolph County has simply run away with that division, althought don't forget that Burlington has a lot of the HS State 3A champs from Southern Alamance HS. I just see Area 3 as being wide open among 5-6 teams right now.

    i forgot my picks...

Cream rises to the top... Rowan and Kannapolis both started out slow and sluggish.. But both are pretty solid most of the time. Kannapolis still has a few players from the last 2 years with playoff experience and should continue on to the second round at least for now.
    Same for Rowan.

    Lexington beat Kannapolis tonight.

Anybody know how the playoffs line up?? (Lexington I think finishes ahead of Mooresville with tiebreakers, but I could be wrong. The 2 teams split, with Lexington winning by more runs head to head. Lexington's record against teams ahead of them was:
    Rowan 1-1
    Kannapolis 2-0
    Mocksville 0-2
    Stanley Co 1-1

Anybody know how it all lines up now??

I think that it would be much better if we ALL worked together instead of against each other...it's just called a little "organization". Thanking you in advance Intimidator Coach for your support!
