ADVERTISING on the softball forum-read this first

    We seem to be going through a cycle of members trying to advertise on the softball forum. DON'T. We don't allow it for "for profit" enterprises.

    college clinics, hs clinics, travel ball clinics, these are OK.

    Private lessons, batting centers, training centers, these are NOT OK.

    We decided long ago to keep this forum clean from advertising, and we hope you will follow these simple rules.

    Opinion

    Both the baseball and softball forum need an avenue for advertising.
    This only helps the girls find the best instruction, batting centers, facilities, and equipment.

    agree on both counts, and hopefully this will happen in the near future.

    I've mentioned a speed and agility program I'm aware of in recent posts. Does that fall under this policy? I'm not connected with the program but I recognized the benefits it could have for players that participated.

    Is that a thin line or did I cross the line? My only interest was the benefit it had for the girls.

    it was fine, didnt look to me that you were trying to sell anything or profit from it.

    Need a thread dedicated to only advertising

    For those of us that have moved on, and really don't have the opportunity to talk to the parents now, there needs to be a thread that still lets the facilities, products, and services advertise.
    Especially now, since it it the Holidays, and the girls and parents could take advantage of what is out there.

    Stupid suggestion maybe but

    Why not allow Larry and others to advertise at certain times of year and only for a limited period? Christmas to allow parents to get new equipment for gifts and May (?) to capture the travel team needs. You could allow it just as you do the camps, one thread!:blah:
