A Question for all coaches

Have you ever called a bonehead play that still haunts you?

I have called numerous one's, but there is one that still causes me nightmares sometimes. I don't know why, because I have made many worse decisions, but for some reason this one has stayed with me for over 20 years.

Situation: we were down by two runs in the last inning with two outs. I had a terrific runner on 1st who through his eyes kept imploring for me to allow him to steal 2nd (he was the leading base stealer in the conference.) I figured if I allowed him to steal they would intentionally walk the next batter giving me the tying runs on base....so I gave him the sign. He got a great lead and a good jump, so I didn't worry about him. But as a sign from the baseball god that I screwed up, my runner did something that never happened to him before...he fell down midway to 2nd and eventually was tagged out and game over.

I had a dream about this incident last night. It still bothers me
