Jake Robbins of CBC is hosting his own pitching blog. In his blog he addresses areas of concern for pitchers, workout routines and gives great advice (and free). You can also ask questions for him to answer.

It's a tremendous idea of Jake's and I asked him for permission to post his site. In my opinion, it's a must read for a pitcher.

    Jake Robbins

What a great idea ! For those who are not familiar with Jake Robbins, he is the pitching coach for CBC. Jake not only is very knowledgeable about the game, but he has a knack for bringing the best out of the kids, both on and off the field. Jake works my son harder than any coach he has had, but at the end of the day, he only talks about what he learned and how much fun he is having. Alot of guys that are so called "pitching coaches" are in it for nothing but the money. As "Braves" stated above, the blog was Jake's idea and the cost; "free" should show how dedicated Jake is to the kids! I only wish my son was a freshman instead of a senior so Jake could work longer with him! Thanks Jake and Braves for this information.

    Thank you

Thank you Braves and LKN for the kind words. I truly enjoy helping every kid learn how to pitch or every pitcher fine tune his skills on the mound. God has prepared me the past 15 years to be able to teach each pitcher the next step in the "art of pitching"
    Thanks again!

    Starting Out & Experienced Guys

If you have a son that is just starting out and needs to get started with good mechanics from the start (what a great concept ) or someone that has been pitching for a little while and wants to get to the next level, you should do yourself a favor and schedule a session with Jake Robbins.

One session with Jake and you will see what everybody is talking about - this guy is the real deal.

This blog is a great resource for everyone - thanks for sharing.

Isn't it true that you will work for food! Marino's maybe or Price's?

    first pitch steeerike

    lessons from ft myers -

    form a hitters perspective -

everybody knows that pitcher wants to get ahead in the count.
    most 16s won't start off-speed
    sit on the firstpitch fastball

i bet we "took" 20 call strike one(s)" this tourney.

needless to say our run production was - not up to standard.
