Hey, not often do you see the same team beat Crest and Shelby in consecutive weeks? I figure this would have got more attention on this board and watching FFN tonight. BTW, as much as I love that show, it just dosen't seem that good this year.

    Ragsdale 21
    NW Guilford 0

Well I guess I'm not as worried about that defense any more. NW isn't that good, but isn't that bad either - but the defense played great - getting four interceptions and a fumble and really showing some great speed and hitting.

Started out slow on offense - Mullins was intercepted twice in the first quarter and had some untimely penalties that killed drives. First break was on a huge hit by Chris Carter who leveled the QB and Anthony Caldwell recovered the fumble. That really got the offense fired up and CJ Brinson rushed 30 of the 35 yard drive scoring on an 8 yard run making it 6-0 with 3 minutes left in the first half.

Thought it would go to halftime that way but Ragsdale got the ball back, looked like they were running the clock out - but on 3rd down with 8 seconds left Mullins found Anthony Caldwell streaking down the sidelines for a 65 yard TD. 14-0 Ragsdale.

Second half it was a slugfest - Ragsdale moved the ball okay but never really made much happen. Early in the fourth NW moved to the Ragsdale 6 - going in for the score but Jarvis Siler made a huge INT in the end zone. And a few plays later Mullins rewarded Siler by finding him deep for a 67 yard TD. 21-0 Ragsdale.

Tigers intercepted two more passes to keep the shut out. Four different Tiger players had interceptions (Siler,Cameron Booker,Thomas Johnson and Jeremy Williams) The pass coverage continues to be my biggest concern - the DBs still get beat - they have great speed and can make up some ground but a sharp QB that puts the ball on the money can hurt them

up next - a revenge game with Western Guilford who has won two years in a row
