I would say that he had a day at the plate against State! I was impressed with the way the 49ers played. It was nice to see the fans get a little worked up as well! I'm not sure they were ready for the passionate fans that follow the Gamecocks, but they weren't backing down.

    Chris Taylor

Yes, known him since middle school. A friend of mine has an old turkey barn with a batting cage inside and every year, after Thanksgiving, he has a day during the week that we go out and throw live arm BP, soft toss and do some tee work. Kids of all ages come out!
We work all winter out there and stop around the beginning of college season. It's really great for the kids, especially at Christmas time when all the alumni come back from college and work with the kids. Chris is one of those that come back!

Chris was there every time the doors were open and then came on his own a lot! He was and still is one of the best kids I've ever worked with.
He came to the Post 51 Legion game last night and gave up the scoop on the season and the tourney.
He's playing in the CPL league this summer in Asheboro.

BTW, there was a Braves scout at the game last night.
Chris knew him and pointed him out to me and my son.
I would have never known that he was a scout.
That wasn't you was it Braves? :28:

    :58: :icon_bs: Neither!
Tall slender guy wearing what appeared to be a Hawaii flowered shirt with shirt tail out, shorts and hat. He had papers rolled up and kept looking at them from time to time. Stayed very low key! Were you at the game?
If you come to Concord and see someone wearing a blue hat with a "D" on the front, that's ME!!!! I try to get to all the Post 51 home games!
