Thoughts about all the second round matchups:

    Alexander Central @ Butler

    South Caldwell @ Crest

    NW Guilford @ Grimsley

    Davie @ N. Davidson

Jimmy Messer who is 12-0 will be pitching for South Caldwell against Crest. I suspect Dustin Harrington will be pitching for Alexander Central against Butler. I believe Harrington has had 2 outings this year where he had 17 K's.

If this is true he'll be facing the scrappy and undefeated Matt Robinson

If Dustin Harrington is available to pitch for Alexander this could be very interesting. He really came on strong at the end of this season and has been very dangerous both on the mound and at the plate. If he starts I'm going with Alexander.

Thats why they play!! and as it winds down it's always a shame to see someone have to go home.

I just heard that Harrington had to pitch the final 3 innings last night in relief so although he could pitch all 7 on Friday I'm not sure how effective he will be.

Yes, Davie and North Davidson should be a battle. I'm sure Davie will see White on the mound. Not sure who will be throwing for Davie, Tom Kuell pitched the East Forsyth game, and soph Ryan Carter pitched the 3-hitter against East Rowan last night. Davie will have to do better on the offensive end than the 3 hits they had against White in the CPC Championship game. If they are swinging the bats, this one could go either way.
