2008 NCAA Div II South Atlantic Regional

    The 2008 NCAA Division II South Atlantic Regional tournament will be held May 7th to May 11th at LRA Field on the campus of UNC Pembroke. Game times for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be 11:00 am, 1:30 pm, 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Game times on Saturday will be 1:00 and 4:00 pm. There are 2 types of tickets available....a tournament pass will be available for $25 and all-day tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for students with a valid ID.

    The first round of games on Wednesday is listed below:

    Game 1 - 11:00 am - #4 Georgia College and State vs. #5 Francis Marion

    Game 2 - 1:30 pm - #1 Carson Newman vs. #8 Pfeiffer

    Game 3 - 4:00 pm - #3 Lenoir-Rhyne vs. #6 North Georgia

    Game 4 - 6:30 pm - #2 UNC Pembroke vs. #7 Armstrong Atlantic

    The tournament website will be available through UNCP's home athletic page at uncpbraves.com. The site will include team capsules, complete schedules and live stats.

    There are 3 NC teams that are all loaded with tremendous North Carolina talent. If you want to see some of the best college softball in this part of the country, take a trip to Pembroke and check out these kids. You will be very proud of the talent NC has produced.
