Does anyone expect Watauga to upset and come out above AC Reynolds this year?

Tyler Moore held them to 1 or 2 runs before giving way to Lee Ammann during the semis of the conference tournament..

no guarentees, but it'll be more of a dogfight than last year

The big question in Burke is where will the little leaguers go when the new high school opens next year. I have followed these boys and while this year they may be young, they will surprise some. And the next couple of years watch out.

How will this new school affect the Conference? Will they join the NW4A?

From what I've read in the local papers and from word of mouth, the new schools will not be bigger than 3A and might even be 2A. Freedom has a chance to remain 4A but it would not be smart to keep them the only 4A school in the county. So I don't see any chance of either of the 4 high schools remaining in the NW4A.

Im looking forword to watching Watauga this year. Coach Hardee is a great coach and a very good motivator. This teams downfall though will be pitching. I do not think you can win the NW4A with 3 pitchers with varsity experence. Lee Ammon is a stud and will start the big games for WHS. Minford is a crafty guy who won't over power you but he will keep you off balence by mixing things up. After those 2 you have Moyer who will close games. He is a pretty decent closer. Hitting should be better. I think you will see this lineup.

    LF-Mike Butler
    CF-Eric Breitenstein
    RF-Tanner Martin
    3rd-Ethan Moyer
    SS-Dalton Hardee
    2B-Chaz Quinn
    1B-Daniel Baker
    C-Caleb Martin
    DH-Trey Dunnigan

I think that Ethan Moyer will be playing 2nd, and Chaz Quinn will be playing 3rd base...atleast that is the plan right now.

I agree though. Lee has gotten better over the summer and his duece is crazy...keeps kids off balance. Rich has a new approach to pitching and hopefully his confidence will be there. That's sometimes Rich's only problem...
I'm anxious to see how everyone else shows up.

I am very proud to say that i have hit Ammons curve. It is wicked and when you don't expect it you have no chance. His fast ball is picking up speed as well.
