I've seen him against us and Byrd last year. The boy has a cannon, but Scotland had no receivers. They dropped over 1/2 that were thrown to them and they were good passes. Some say part of that problem was that he was throwing as hard for 40 yards as he was for 5 yards and he hadn't learned to take any off of it.

    From a State fan:

"We're up there in his top 2-3, and I think now that we've offered, we may have the upper hand. I've been told that if he was willing to play anything other than QB, his offer list would double overnight.

The kid is a flat out athlete. I decided to go premium a couple months ago and his film was one of the first I watched - he was AMAZING. Just a pure athlete, making plays with his arm and his feet.

Jonathan Crompton was rated the best QB in North Carolina, and Harrison Beck was one of the top 2-3 in the country. I watched their tape, along with those of a few other guys. I'd put Sexton up there with any of them - I think he's a national talent who just doesn't have the top-notch receivers. He'd be a fantastic get for us."
