Lenoir CC (33-15) split on Friday (7-5, 3-7), and then won Game 3 (9-1) on Saturday to advance to the JUCO D2 World Series in Millington, TN next weekend.

Jared Sutton was the WP on Friday with Blake Herring gettin the save.

On Saturday, the WP was Jacob Allen who tossed 8 1/3 innings to get the win. Allen was also the District Tourney MVP because of his preformance.

Yes... Pitched an inning of relief in the second game (that we lost 7-3) on Friday. Warmed up the whole game, ended up coming in down 6-3 with 1 out and guys on 1st and 3rd. Ended the 8th with a pop up (sac. fly) and a ground ball. Just wanted to say again that Jacob Allen (from Greene Central HS) pitched a great game on Saturday. He was "on".... he had the right stuff, the right attitude... everything.

I am ready for Tennessee............

Congrats to LCC!!!! On the DI side, Surry didn't advance. They fell to Potomac State Saurday in the final game of the series. Surry beat Globe Institute on Friday eliminating them then fell to Potomac State Friday night. The nights came out of Saturday and beat Potomac State to force a third and final game, which they lost. Potomac State played very well. John Graham showed lots of heart in his performance Saturday pitching 8 innings while also being the DH. He hit an absolute bomb in the second game. I wouldn't be surprised if his name is called on draft day as a hitter. That boy has a lot of power! Surry finished the season 55-9. Good luck to LCC in Millington!

Pot. State has a very good team. We played them earlier in the year at Louisburg's field in a little round-robin type tournament. We won in a close one... it was a great game.

We will face the defending champs in the first game in Millington... Grand Rapids CC from Michigan. We are representing the East.
