Everyone who has seen Cameron play knows why there wasn't a 2nd viable candidate for this award in NC. Cameron is absolutely the best. He stands out strongly in a very good crowd of notable ball players.

Congrats to you Cameron. No one does it better right now.

Law1ing---I can assure you that it's been a long, long time that a kid with this talent has marched through NC.

There are absolutely no holes in his game..

    Speed?...runs about a 6.3- 60 and that was in a pouring rain
Arm Strength- He has an absolute "gun"
Hitting- is going to break every Ken Griffey, Jr record for the Midland Redskins (a Cinncinnatti powerhouse showcase team)
Power--- unbelievable wrists...but this is the amazing thing...he's a POWER switch hitter....just as strong from either side of the plate

one more thing....he's a great kid with great parents!!!...they keep him level headed

are you kidding me? a 6.3 60? that is floating. and i did not realize he hit from both sides of the plate. of course, i am reading that he has stepped in nicely on the mound since they had one of their top pitchers go down with an injury.

you know, i met him and spoke to coach smith a couple of years ago in atlanta after they won the 3a championship. I could tell that he was a good kid and that coach smith knew he had something special. and he had just finished his freshman season.

    ....and on a wet field

He has physically matured, but can still add 25+ pounds easily.

If you ever wanted to get into the Sport Agency game...this would be a great start. This kid will be a Top 5 pick and depending what a team is looking for (pitchers)...he may be Top 2-3

i bet the agents are swarming around this kid. maybe i will make a call to Coach Smith to see what he can do.

i look forward to seeing how much better this kid can get once baseball becomes his full time job...and my guess is that will happen in early june next year.

Cameron is a good student, but his dream is to play MLB. I believe the scouts will conclude that he is signable...and make the right offer. I doubt that Cameron can improve his draft status by going to college...but his folks are a strong influence and very level headed. When it comes time to make a decision, his dad, Rudy, will play a major role.
