Gary Merrill Head Coach at Northern Durham resigns

    Gary Merrill, Head Football coach at Northern Durham resigned Thursday as Football coach. His wife recently died in a tragic car accident and he feels like he can't devote 100% to the program. What a tragedy because Coach Merrill was not only a proven winner, but he is a class guy.

    He will remain at the school in his teaching position.

    Tragic loss for Coach Merrill and NDHS. Hopefully he will get through this and get back in the coaching ranks soon. Best wishes to Coach Merrill and his family.
