Region X D2 Champions

    Lenoir CC (31-14 overall) won the Region X D2 Championship today by sweeping Southeastern 2-0 in the Best of Three.

    LCC won Game 2, 12-0 behind a complete game by Sophomore, Jared Sutton. He allowed 1 hit, and it was the first batter of the game that laid down a perfect bunt. Sutton has committed to UNCW and will be signing soon.

    Aaron Ranft hit a homerun and now has over 70 RBI's. He was named the Region X D2 Player of the Year. Coach Hartsell of LCC was named Region X D2 Coach of the Year.

    Players from LCC on the All-Region team:
    Pitchers:

    FR, Blake Herring
    Outfielders:
    SO, Chris Butler

    SO, Aaron Ranft

    LCC now heads to Maryland, May 21-22 for the District Tournament against the Region 20 winner.

    Thank you. We have a couple weeks to prepare. Exams finish up Tuesday and then we will be back on the field workin our rear-ends off for Maryland. :banana:

    JuCo player in "Maryland" be ready to play that is all I can say!? Been years but the quality of it was "outstanding" when I played! You are there opponents???? And game site(s)? :applause: :applause: :applause:

    Not sure. All I know is we play the Region 20 winner... and they play their regional tourney May 14-16 (I think). Not sure who is in Region 20, you have any ideas? I think they are playing their region games at CCB-Dundalk(?).
