Please tell me this isn't true. He tore his ACL playing basketball in school...obviously out for the remainder of this season and miss out playing for the Midland Redskins this summer. What a tragedy for this young man

Yeah, I heard it too. Josh has plenty of time for a complete recovery though. As great as he throws, it hard to remember that he's just a sophomore.

It happened yesterday at school during PE. Yes, he is a sophomore and I'm sure he will be back at 100%, but he is going to miss an exciting time of this life and one he will not get back.

    Surgery

Josh is scheduled to have surgery next week at the Alabama Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham. Dr. James Andrews will perform the surgery. He is considered by most to be the best in the business and has operated on such sports stars as Roger Clemens, John Smoltz, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Charles Barkley, Jack Nicklaus and Chris Webber. Josh should be better than ever for the start of the 05' season, and TC Roberson may have a better team next year than this year's 18-0 club.

If anyone out there thinks the loss of Thrailkill, and it is a huge loss, somehow dimishes TC's hopes of a title run then you will be in big trouble. This is a deep team with several other quality arms. And if they don't beat you on the mound they'll just go ahead and score 15 runs on you and beat you that way. And WNCBB's statement about next year is so true. This team is loaded with young talent.
