TBR get together

It's been two seasons of HS baseball on TBR. It's amazing how fast we have grown in the short time we have established this forum. We have members from Tuscola to Manteo and everywhere in between. There are coaches, scouts, players and parents. We have discussed every and all topics imaginable from pitching and hitting tips to asking prayers for athletes and their families.

I believe what has made this forum so successful is the one mitigating factor that has been guarded like a watchdog....promoting the players and providing information for the "next level". Yes, we can get silly in here...not all posts follow the "rules" per se, but the fact that you guys/gals take the time to post your opinions is important. Some of us have had an opportunity to meet each other for the first time. If it wasn't for this forum, I never would have met some wonderful parents, their kids and some of the coaches that post on here.

What I was thinking was trying to get together for a game..maybe the USC/UNC game May 11 or perhaps a Charlotte Knights game. Now, for you members on the East Coast, I don't want you to think I have left you out. Niner_Dad has access to a plane to fly you in ..isn't that right Niner?
For those in the mountains, Mudcat drives the TBR bus and those in the W/S area can depend on NC-Dad for the TBR boat....

I would love to get a chance to meet everybody...share war stories...and have one night of having fun.

oh...and as far as tickets go...no worries...NCBBallFan and RC will pick up the tab...they are rich!!! Oh...and so is Prepster!!!

Let me know what you guys think and if it is something we could work out.

Wow.....a guy catches one little plane ride and now everybody thinks it's mine for the taking Then to top it off, the next day I find out NC was there and I didn't get to meet him Who else did I miss???

The May 11 UNC-USC clash might work....who knows, maybe I can catch another plane ride hhmmmm, let me talk to my pilot.....

Seriously, I would like to meet you guys. Set it up, Braves, I'll see what I can do.

I'll be at the Charlotte-UAB games Sat. and Sun., April 24th and 25th, for anyone who can make it to one of those. Sorry, I'm not rich like NC and RC, so I can't pay your way, but if you give me a little advance notice, I might can get a few player comp tickets to those games, and get you in free.

 

Braves -- Why don't we schedule something in the Raleigh area during the weekend of the state championship series, June 11-13? I know you South Meck supporters will be there anyway and the rest of us will want to come watch some good high school baseball. It could be a lot of fun to have the TBR group at the state finals!

 

That sounds like a great idea. I will be there no matter who is playing...but it would be nice to have more than two responses for a get together....although I would enjoy your company, Dodgerblue, anytime!!
