Crest looking for a game Oct. 1st...

    This was the date that Crest played Marlboro County last year. Anybody know of anyone with this date open? Crest got a call from the beach but it would of been like a 9 hour drive and Crest already has 6 road games and they would risk loosing money. The NCHSAA doesn't help with regular season travel I believe. So if they have to travel they need it to be a reasonable driving distance.

    What about Gaffney? Seems that Crest went down there not too long ago and didnt have a return game. They always bring a good crowd and the game would be broadcasted to a big audience through 105.3 Big WAGI.

    they got that return game................the best away crowd ever to come to Boiling Springs if not the best crowd ever to see a game at Crest. not a happy Charger ending though. New coaches there in Gaffney but its very logical know Kirby and the boyz........thats been explored!

    my wife wouldnt go back to Gaffney to watch a hs game but i would!! :banana:

    :D....i would like a mountain team or an out-of stater......TN< GA>VA or yep that Richmond County green and other gold!

    Gaffney was contacted but nothing ever came of it. Believe you me, Coach Kirby would love to have another shot at the Indians. Coach Kirby has said that a SC or VA team is still possible, but the Chargers are having to be careful with the travel cost. At West Charlotte, At Shelby, At Davie County, At Hickory, At Kings Mountain, and At Fred T Foard is going to cut pretty deep into travel expenses. No trouble to travel, just within a reasonable distance.

    Richmond County game would be sweet. :xyzthumbs

    Sounds like a good idea, but you know Char-Meck schools or the county itself would want a piece of the gate...
