Nothing really, except that they should be very good matchups....

They are either tracking a team that is ranked, a really good head-to-head event between even teams or a game that caught my eye as being of major interest to the viewers.

It's real reason is to stir up some interest and get people out to the ballfields. It's harder to do for the teams in the east since I'm not as familiar with who are the historically stronger programs (except Rose, Hoggard, Smithfield-Selma, FV, and a few others).

Here's a few I'd like to see the first two weeks.

3-2 New Bern - Hoggard -- probably Adam Warren vs. the #2 Vikings. nice opener.

3-5 Ashley - New Bern -- boys in Wilm are loaded. man NB schedules tough.

3-6 Orange - Lee Co -- dynamic duo (Horton & Hargrave) vs. possibly Z.Phillps and a guru (C.Spivey) led Lee Co team.

3-12 & 3-13 Manteo - E Chapel Hill -- though ECH lost lots, Manteo didn't. the boys from the beach got some studs. a robust Bailey Daniels is topping 90 and their second line ain't bad.

3-13 Lee Co. - Orange -- so much fun, let's do this one again.

Eventhough it's down the road, let's mark 3-27 down as a red letter day. Rose, Ragsdale and Greenbriar Christian (a la BJ Upton) will converge on the campus of Barton College. Coaches from GB and Ragsdale hail from BC, and they threw Rose in for good measure. NICE!

Nice choices .... I agree, those all look like "spotlight games"

    Piedmont vs West Rowan

According to the schedule given out by Piedmont the West Rowan game is a home game for Piedmont.

As far a being a good game, with Piedmont being so young and West Rowan having revenge on their mind (after last years play-off game) this one might get out of hand.

    Schedule change for today (3/03)

First JV/Varsity double header of the season will be held at North Meck against Butler.

The Butler field is not yet playable and both teams will play at North Meck tonight.

The JV game will start at about 4:00 PM with the Varsity game to follow, hopefully starting about 6:00 (but probably closer to 6:30).
