    Any results from the Hopewell/East Lincoln scrimmage that took place on Friday?

    East Rutherford and N. Gaston scrimmage is Wed. Feb 25 at N. Gaston.

    East Lincoln is very young this year...that, combined with the first outting for the team resulted in a lopsided scrimmage...they struggled with the pitching and didn't generate very many hits....had a lone homerun hit in the first inning and the same player (don't know his name) hit the ball well in later innings as well. For Hopewell, pitching was spread out among different pitchers. Dan Woodall hit two homeruns, Ben Beard and Dusty White each had several hits apiece. Most all of the varsity players had at least one hit, and in the latter innings some JV players were substituted to get them in some playing time as well.
